Executive Education Programs


The firm is prepared to provide customized corporate learning programs on negotiation; dispute resolution; management, leadership and decision-making; real estate and construction finance; and real estate credit and risk management. Often, but not always, such an assignment entails a five phase process 1) review of client identified functional activities; 2) design of a customized executive education program focused on client needs; 3) selection and preparation of seminar materials consistent with client objectives; 4) execution of highly participative seminar sessions; and 5) post-seminar brainstorming with client group to formulate next steps to enable client personnel to improve future bottom line results.

Recently, together with a strategic alliance partner, Mr. Levy prepared and executed a customized corporate learning seminar on the physical, financial and risk aspects of construction project finance for Fitch Ratings.

Mr. Levy recently co-taught with George Ross, Esq., Executive Vice President and Senior Counsel of the Trump Organization, a day-long negotiation seminar as part of a Summer Institute on Asset Management at New York University.

Mr. Levy led a session on real estate negotiations in the “Real Estate Transactions and Deal Structuring” course at Cornell University Law School for law, hospitality and real estate students.

New York University recently presented Professor Levy with its Teaching Excellence Award for creating an exceptional learning environment

Mr. Levy frequently leads training programs on negotiation, dispute resolution, construction lending, loan underwriting, and other subjects relevant to professionals in the real estate and construction industries. Other organizations he has led executive education programs for include Lend Lease Real Estate Investments Inc.; Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP; and Thacher, Profitt & Wood. LLP.

Mr. Levy has served variously, as Adjunct Professor of Real Estate and Clinical Associate Professor at New York University in the M.S. in Real Estate and M.S. in Construction Management Programs where he has taught real estate finance, real estate credit and risk management, and negotiation and dispute resolution. At present he leads the Strategic Real Estate Management Group at the Real Estate Institute of New York University where he is responsible for supervision and curricular development for courses encompassing valuation, market and feasibility analysis, commercial lease analysis, asset management, acquisition and disposition and enterprise management and leadership.

Under the sponsorship of the U.S. Agency for International Development and similar organizations, he has conducted lecture and seminar sessions on American real estate markets and methods of real estate analysis for delegations of public officials and practitioners from China, Japan, Russia and the Ukraine.

Mr. Levy has lectured at Harvard, Yale, Stanford and Columbia Business Schools; Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania; Amos Tuck Graduate School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College; and Colgate Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia; and for the University of Amsterdam; and for Cornell and Fordham Law Schools. He has also lectured at Rutgers and Northeastern Universities, Pratt Institute and Connecticut College.
